The AI will be in a rough state on release because AI is really hard! There were a few quirks during today's stream (weird ideologies for the Japanese IGs, British wargoals in China were obviously weird), but my overwhelming impression was that the game was actually in surprisingly good shape-a few more weeks of bugfixes and I'll feel like I'm getting my money's worth from a Day One release. This is precisely what will happen after this stream, and the next stream, and every stream after that. Image for Crusader Kings 3s new Royal Court DLC will arm you with Dwarf Fortress style.

Victoria II was released for PC and Mac in 2010, where it. Image for Victoria 3 will be Paradoxs next strategy game.

This long-awaited strategy game sequel will allow fans to build an empire in the 19th century, with a gameplay style that reflects the sweeping changes that were occurring in the world at that time. The first stream saw some AI shenanigans, the devs commented on it, and within I think 48-72 hours had fixed it and announced that to the public. Paradox Interactive has announced at PDXCON that Victoria 3 is in development for PC. RE: "the AI is a mess," it's insane to me that people can still find stuff to complain about after the first stream. At the very least, that sounds like an effective interpretation of what a "national interest" is to me! Click to expand. Also, as we learned from today's stream, diplomatic interactions with other countries will be at least partially locked behind the "interest" system, adding a further layer of realism.įrom what I was able to gather, it sounds like alliances/defensive pacts/most other diplomatic interactions will require that both the player and the target nation share a region in which they have both declared interests.
